| Thomas
Hedley is a
singer,song-writer,performer and
co-producer,and comes from the
island republic of Malta, but has
British ancestors, like most of
the Maltese people...He started
singing and writing songs at age
12,and he is also a keyboard
player...His style is influenced
by both past and present, mainly
the Beatles,especially George
Harrison, Morissey and the
Smiths, Crowded house, and
today's Franz Ferdinand,
The Calling,Hoobastank,U2,Snow
Patrol,Coldplay and Stereophonics
among others.. Thomas Hedley
writes very catchy and heartfelt
tunes, almost always involving
love of some kind, and simple and
commonly-used lyrics...some
people are made to shout,
Thomas sings from the heart
upwards...His single 'Is it too
late', has been described by
professional review critics as '
out of your many good songs, this
one in particular plays perfectly
to your strenghts vocally,
lyrically and musically', and
'this track is ready-made for a
rock classic'.. 2007 was
very crucial to Thomas's musical
future,when he released no less
than 5 singles, all making it in
the top 40 charts of local radio
stations,and being requested by
many people..Thomas was nominated
for the 'best newcomer'
award,both in the Malta music
awards and the Bay Radio music
awards held in 2007 ,and his song
'My first love' was an instant
hit.. In the last week of
January,'Going down',a
slow,powerful,reflective song,has
been released,and is already
airing on radios....Projects for
the future? Gigging with the
band,and also acoustically,both
locally and internationally,with
special effort in the UK,release
of more up to date singles, always
experimenting with sound,and
Thomas's music in Film and TV,a
new project which really
interests Thomas,and with the
help of international
promoters,may well come true
shortly...
